The beauty of simplicity

The house sits in an elevated position in the middle of the conservancy. Our rooms, made with local materials, and built in a very organic way, nestle unobtrusively into the landscape.

Inside, we've put lots of charming touches, but kept it really simple to make the most of the extensive views out

The Main House

At the heart of Lewa House sits an elegant, thatched building with a big, open fireplace. It’s the perfect spot to get together and share stories of another incredible day.

The Accommodation

Cottages

(Sleeps four)

Rustic thatched cottages built out of Cedar wood are spacious and beautifully furnished. The cottages are great for families of up to four people and consist of a double and twin room, each with an en-suite bathroom. The cottages have a large veranda where you and your family can sit and enjoy early-morning biscuits and coffees before heading out.

Earthpods

(Sleeps two)

The latest additions to our accommodation are our four earthpods. They are designed to disappear into the landscape, collect and store rainwater, and maintain an even temperature. Their simple decoration puts the focus on their stunning views over the northern frontier.

Soak up the views

Enjoy some downtime by the pool overlooking a nearby waterhole, providing some of the best game viewing on the conservancy.

Dining at Lewa

From breakfast out and about in the conservancy to fine dining in our gardens, you’ll enjoy meals made from the finest local produce, with the majority of it sourced from our on-site farm. Prepared by our talented chefs, there’s plenty of choice with tastes to savour.

The Farm

Lewa began as a farm, and to this day sustainably produces fruit, vegetables, milk, yoghurt, eggs and meat. While we love the idea of being self-sufficient, we believe the best way to help our community is through trade.

We buy staple produce, such as potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbages, maize and wheat from the communities around Lewa. Our local town is Meru and we source much of our fruit and grains from its weekly market. So, the food on your table is carefully grown right here, or in our local communities.
